CUSTOM ORDERS

I love custom projects and would be happy to work with you to design dinnerware, wedding favors, gifts or something special for your home. I’ve done custom orders in a variety of sizes, from two mugs up to 140 planters. No project is too big or too small. Feel free to get in touch through the contact page with any questions, and I’ll get back to you shortly.

The photos above show an example of the custom work I like to do. Brian and Natalia got married in the spring of 2016. For their wedding favors, they wanted something unique, and were going for an organic, personalized look. Over a brief consultation, we talked about potentially doing votive candle holders, then decided on planters for succulents. I produced a few samples for them of glazes and shapes so they could choose their favorites.

Brian is an artist himself, so he drew a sketch of a yucca plant with their initials and the place and date of their wedding. They sent the sketch to a graphic designer friend, who tweaked it a bit, then sent it to MakeATX. They laser cut a wood stamp of the image, which I used to stamp the bottom of 140 small planters. We bought all the plants at East Austin Succulents, then we had a big plant potting party at their house.
